Volunteering

• Intercultural offers you the opportunity to undertake volunteer work and work projects during your stay here in Mendoza. This experience will truly allow you a submersion into practising the Spanish language, and also involving yourself in the local culture, customs and way of life.
• Duration:
• The duration of the internship is up to you. But 6 weeks is the minimum of doing the internship.
• Conditions:
• In order to fully assimilate the working experience it is requested to already have a minimum of B1 Spanish level. That's why, at the beginning of the internship it's essential to have strong language skills for the internships and volunteer work. We offer internship preparation language courses for all levels for those you are not yet proficient. These courses last no longer than six weeks, even for absolute beginners. The length of the intensive language course depends on your previous knowledge.
• Application:
• 1. Please fill in the application form (Download)
• 2. Send us your language course certificate of the Spanish level A2 or ask for our placement test to complete; 
  3. A photocopy of your passport;
  4. Send us a cover note describing your ideas
  5. Complete health, liability, accident and repatriations of remains insurance are required.
  6. Contact information of family member or a friend whom to contact in case of an emergency.
• On completion of the volunteer work, you will be obliged to write a report about you work experience (no more than 800 words).
• Migratory regulations:
• For a 3 months stay your status is as a tourist. For a longer stay you should apply for a "student" visa.
• Program costs:
• The organisation and assistance during your internship will cost you U$S 150.
• At the moment of applying we will ask you for an application fee of U$S 50. This amount is considered part of the whole program costs and will be deducted from the balance once you accept the position and pay the program.
• If you withdraw your application or if you do not accept an internship offer, there will be no right to refund.
• The program costs include:
• - Arrangement of the internship place
• - Preliminary information about Mendoza, the internship place and the internship itself
• - Informative talk upon arrival in Mendoza
• - We accompany you on your first day to the company/institution
• - Mediation in case of difficulties or problems; if necessary, we look for an alternative placement
• - It`s possible to attend at the activities of Intercultural
• - Work experience certificate of Intercultural.
